Scottie Softball Ranked 18 in First NJCAA DII Poll

The Highland Community College softball team will begin its 2013 season as the 18th ranked team in the NJCAA Division II national poll. The softball team is coming off a record-breaking 2012 campaign, in which it set the Scottie single season wins record with 49, won the first ever KJCCC conference  title for the Scotties, and appeared in the third straight NJCAA National Tournament for Highland. They will once again be one of the front runners for the Jayhawk Conference title in 2013. In the final poll of 2012, Highland was ranked 8th with a record of 49-15. Coach Jordan will need a talented group of freshmen, along with an experienced group of sophomores to mature together quickly in order to climb up in the polls again this season.
