The Highland Community College men’s cross country team finished as the third place team on Friday, September 5, at the Northwest Missouri State Open Meet.
Highland finished with 81 team points behind team champion Northwest Missouri (27 points) and St. Mary’s University (30 points).
The Scotties were paced by sophomore Brian Martinez (Pasadena, TX) with an 11th place finish in 27:42.9. Sophomore Ronnie Carroll (Smyrna, DL) was right on his heels with a 13th place finish in 27:55.8.
Rounding out the scoring for the Scotties was sophomore Rey Quinones-Velez (Clermont, FL) with a 16th place finish. Freshman Fernando Lucero (Rio Rancho, NM) finished in 20th place while freshman Corey Scott (Pasadena, TX) finished in 21st place.
