Karen (Whetstine) Meeks is returning to Highland Community College as the Administrative Assistant to the Vice President for Finance and Operations. From 1991-97, Meeks served the College as the Business Office Manager and Human Resource Manager. She then worked for the Northeast Kansas Technical School before starting her own business – Parker House, Inc. – in Atchison. Recently, she has been serving USD 377 as a substitute teacher.
Meeks is a native of Highland and holds an AA degree from the College as well as a bachelor’s degree in business administration and marketing from Kansas State University. She will return to the College on October 20.
