Highland’s Vukov to Play in NJCAA All-Star Game

Szonja Vukov, who earned NJCAA Division II All-American honors as a member of Coach B.J. Smith’s women’s basketball team at Highland Community College, has been chosen by the NJCAA to participate in the 2016 NJCAA Women’s Basketball Coaches Association All-Star Game on July 21-24 at Northwest Florida State College in Niceville, FL.  Vukov is a 6’1” freshman from Budakeszi, Hungary. Last season, Vukov averaged 18.6 points per game, tying her for third all-time at Highland. Vukov finished the regular season as the Kansas Jayhawk Conference’s leading rebounder, with 9.9 rebounds per game, and set a new Highland record for assists at 116.
