Highland's Lucero Named to All-Academic Team

The NJCAA Cross Country Coaches Association recently named its Academic All-American team. Highland Community College’s Fernando Lucero, a freshman from Rio Rancho, NM, was named to the team for his outstanding academic performance this past cross country season. During the season, Lucero recorded the 4th fastest cross country time in Highland history. As a member of the Highland track team, he has also qualified for Nationals in two distance events and is excited to go home to New Mexico next week to compete in front of his family and friends.
