Highland Volleyball to Conduct Kiddie Camp

The Highland Community College volleyball team will be hosting a Kiddie Camp on October 28 from 2:00-3:00 pm at the Walters Wellness Center for children ages three through kindergarten to raise money for Breast Cancer Research.  The Camp will be taking free will donations and all proceeds will be donated to local charities that help in the fight against breast cancer.

The Kiddie Camp will have fun games that will introduce the game of volleyball to the kids.  The camp will teach the basics such as passing and setting, as well as interacting with the HCC volleyball team and other children.

“The Kiddie Camp is a fun way for the volleyball team to reach out to the youngest fans and get them involved in volleyball and also raise money for a great cause.  This event will touch the lives of the very young and very old by the money that will be raised,” commented Highland Head Coach Diana Gaddis.   October has become known has “Dig Pink” month across the country for many sports teams.  The suggested donation is $5 per child.  No registration is necessary.  Please contact Coach Gaddis with any questions, 785-442-6152 or dgaddis@highlandcc.edu.
