The Highland Community College volleyball team will be hosting a volleyball camp for girls in grades 1-8 on February 16, 2013. Girls in grades 1-4 will be from 9:30 a.m. to noon and girls in grades 5-8 will be from 1:00 p.m. to 3:30. The camp will cover the fundamentals of volleyball and also will touch on offensive and defensive systems. The cost of the camp is $25, which includes a T-shirt. The camp will be in the Walters Wellness Center on the HCC campus.
This year, the younger girls will have the chance to work with a Volley Lite. This is a light weight volleyball so it is easier to handle for beginners. Interested participants can register online at https://highlandcc.edu/pages/volleyball-clinics or contact Diana Gaddis at dgaddis@highlandcc.edu or 785-442-6152 for more information.
