The Highland Community College volleyball team took their second straight loss in conference play Wednesday night as they hosted Kansas City Kansas Community College. The Scotties battled to take the first set 28-26, but could not get their rhythm as KCK took the next three sets 25-13, 25-21, 25-17. The Scotties were also defeated by Fort Scott last week in three straight sets, 16-25, 17-25, 16-25. They are now 4-3 overall and 0-2 in conference play.
The volleyball team will continue play this weekend at their home tournament. They will play Friday, September 7, at 2:30 pm and 8:00 pm, and then on Saturday, September 8, at 11:00 am and 3:00 pm. All matches will be played in the Walters Wellness Center except the 2:30 pm match on Friday which will be played in Allen Field House.
