Highland Community College quarterback Brandon Bergeron was named the Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference/Verizon Wireless Offensive Player of the Week for his play in the Scotties’ opening game 48-31win over Fort Scott. The 6’2” 200 pound freshman from Lafayette, LA threw for four touchdowns, accumulating 325 yards in the air and 62 on the ground.
Local fans will be able to see the Scotties in action in their home opener on August 31 on Kessinger Field at 7:00 pm when they host Northeast Oklahoma A&M College, the 18th ranked team in the nation.
