Highland Providing Risk Management Program Online

Highland Community College is now offering its Risk Management program completely online. The Risk Management degree offers graduates the knowledge, concepts, activities, and applications necessary to provide their organization with a professional approach to dealing with disasters, industrial accidents, loss, terrorism and other high risk factors.  Classes are delivered entirely online for convenience and flexibility. The Associate in Applied Science (AAS) degree can be completed in two years (four semesters) or at your own pace.

Designed with the working adult in mind, the Risk Management program at Highland is completely online, making it accessible according to your schedule. Every class you need to complete the Risk Management program can be taken at your convenience in time and place.  Tuition for this program is also affordable; tuition for online classes can be ridiculously high. This program is designed to provide you with the real world skills you will need to function successfully as a risk manager.

Specifically, the Highland Risk Management program provides the following skills to assist you as a risk management professional:

The Risk Management degree aids in professional growth in the fields of Corporate Human Resources, Corporate Risk Management, Corporate Safety, Corporate Security, or Insurance.

All industries need a strategic risk management team. Whether in transportation, healthcare, retail, food, manufacturing, communication, or utilities, companies have to be prepared to deal with risk factors at all times.

The Highland Risk Management program is part of a collaboration comprised of seven post-secondary institutions, Kansas Workforce boards, and multiple industry representatives to provide well-qualified employees for business and industries across the state of Kansas. This collaboration targets critical industries in Kansas such as manufacturing, energy, bio-technology, and agriculture to build programs that meet industry needs and develop career pathways and to strengthen online and technology-enabled learning.
