Highland Hires Vice President for Finance and Operations
Daniel Erbert will be the new Vice President for Finance and Operations at Highland Community College. Erbert will be returning to Kansas as he previously held positions at Cloud County and Colby Community Colleges. He is currently the Business Officer/Budget Director at Aims Community College in Greeley, CO, where he directs a $100 million budget and handles all the functions of a college business office. Prior to that, Erbert was the Vice President of Business Affairs at Colby. He will officially begin his new duties on July 1, with the possibility of being in Highland earlier to get started with those duties.
Erbert is a native of Colorado, graduating from Stratton High School in Stratton, CO, and getting both his bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Colorado State University in Fort Collins. In his experience, Erbert has worked the accreditation process Highland uses and has supervised in a collaborative manner the various functions of the College operation for which he will have responsibility. In addition, Erbert is currently helping with the creative welding section of the welding technology department at Aims.
