The Highland Community College baseball team made it exciting before falling to Colby Community College in the initial round of the Region VI playoff at Colby. The Scotties dropped the first game in the two out of three format with a high scoring game, 14-16, on Saturday. They then blasted the Trojans 16-2 to force a deciding third game on Sunday. In Sunday’s action, Colby came out on top in a 4-2 contest to advance to the Region VI Championship series in Wichita.
