HCCTC Students Participate in Atchison Hospital Health Fair
Thirty-eight Practical Nursing students and their instructors from the Highland Community College Technical Center participated in providing blood pressure screenings, bone density screenings, and cholesterol testing at the 2013 Atchison Hospital Health Fair. In addition, the students assisted children in listening to the heart beat and respirations using a mannequin which is part of their instructional equipment at the Tech Center. In addition to providing these services, the students promoted the various Allied Health and Nursing programs offered at HCC.
