HCC’s Thomas Selected Jayhawk Conference Player of the Week
Freshman Kathy Thomas has been a part of Highland’s undefeated 10-0 start this season and was recognized as The Verizon Wireless Player of the Week in the Jayhawk Conference. Thomas averaged 22 points and 8 rebounds per game in three wins: #18 Brown Mackie, Nebraska Wesleyan, and North Central Missouri. "I’m not the kind of player who worries about individual awards, I just want to win. Our team has worked incredibly hard, and we are excited about winning more than individual awards,” noted Thomas.
