Melissa Hartman has been hired as a Registered Nurse instructor at Highland Community College. She will also serve as the Coordinator of Allied Health. Hartman comes to the College from the University of Kansas Medical Center where she was the Clinic Nurse Coordinator for Outpatient BMT. She has also worked for the National Institutes of Health in Maryland.
A graduate of Mount Saint Scholastica Academy, the University of Kansas, and Saint Luke’s College of Nursing, Hartman has also completed coursework in Nursing Education through UMKC. She holds an RN license in Kansas, Missouri, and Maryland and is a member of the Oncology Nursing Society and Sigma Theta Tau, the International Honor Society for Nurses. Hartman started her duties at the College on May 1.
