Vanetta Geiger will be retiring from her position at Highland Community College at the end of this Fall semester. Geiger’s husband Matt has taken a position in Texas, so she will be ending her employment at the College after almost 30 years. In that time, Geiger has served as an instructor, directed the cheer and dance teams, and served multiple roles in the student services/admissions area. She is currently serving as Director of Admissions.
A native of Highland, Geiger graduated from Highland High School and completed an associate degree at the College before earning a bachelor’s degree from Kansas State University in apparel design. Prior to returning to the College, Geiger worked at the Bank of Horton. While working at the College, she earned a master’s degree from Fort Hays State University.
