Lisa Parsons

Lisa Parsons is the Director for the Student Support Services (SSS) program. Previously, she worked as an Admissions Representative for HCC for five years before taking this position. Prior to her time at the college, Lisa worked as a classroom teacher at various grade levels. Lisa received her Bachelor of Science in Education from Fort Hays State University and her Master of Science in Curriculum and Development from Peru State College.

She enjoys spending time with her two boys, family, and friends. 

Audrey Denton

Audrey Denton is the Retention Coordinator for Student Support Services.  Audrey earned an Associate of Art from HCC, a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Missouri Western and a Master's in Liberal Arts from Baker University.  Audrey began her career in higher education at American Public University in 2002.  She continued her career at Baker University and Park University and has been with Highland Community College since 2012.

Audrey and her husband Christopher reside in Denton along with their children Brooklyn, Brady and Briley. 

Kimberly Bechtold

Kim Bechtold is the Transfer Advisor for Student Support Services. Kim attended Highland Community College then transferred to Northwest Missouri State University where she received her Bachelor of Science in Merchandising. Since graduating from Northwest, she has worked as a Formica Sales Rep and an Enrollment Advisor at Baker University.

Kim and her husband Josh have a son and daughter. 

Joy Meyer

Joy Meyer is the English Specialist for Student Support Services.  Prior to this position, she taught 25 years in the Highland/Doniphan West schools. Joy earned her AA degree from HCC, a Bachelor of Science in Education from Kansas State University and her Master of Science degree in Education in Curriculum and Development from Peru State College. 

Joy and her husband Wayne live in Highland. They have two sons and five grandchildren.
