Associate Degree Nursing (ADN) Instructor

- Masters Degree in Nursing (MSN) required (or in progress). Unrestricted Kansas RN license required (active or will apply)
- Teaching experience preferred - lecture; clinical mentor or preceptor; community health education; etc. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
This is a full-time faculty position with benefits including single coverage health and dental paid by the college for the employee.
The Instructor of Associate Degree Nursing is primarily responsible the planning, delivery, and evaluation of classroom, laboratory, and clinical instruction. The ADN Instructor is responsible for introducing students to the knowledge, skills, and may include day, evening or weekend responsibilities. The instructor also responsible for providing related services and support activities required for optimal student learning, safe practice, and effective educational programming. The Instructor is accountable for assisting and supporting the Program Director as needed in meeting the instructional requirements of the program and maintaining compliance with accreditation.
Students in the program are qualified Licensed Practical Nurses studying to advance their professional nursing education to the next level of a Registered Nurse. The program begins in December and runs through August. Primarily day shift hours with some evening or weekend responsibilities. Classroom instruction is located on the Atchison, Kansas, campus. Clinical locations vary with the majority in the regional service area, 30 - 50 miles from campus.
