Description

This is a full-time instructor position based on the HCC Campus in Highland, Kansas.

The Criminal Justice Instructor will teach all assigned courses and associated activities as related to the major subject area. Courses include but are not limited to: Intro to Criminal Justice, Intro to Corrections, Fundamentals of Investigation, Forensic Investigation, Juvenile Delinquency, Police Patrol Procedures, Criminal Law I, Critical Issues in Law Enforcement, and Practicum in Administration of Justice. The instructor will prepare all instructional materials for the various learning activities associated with their major area, maintain accurate student records, serve actively on college committees, and sponsor student and support activities. Related responsibilities include: keeping current in the teaching subject area, recommending pertinent library materials for acquisition to the Library, attending faculty meetings, cooperating and assisting student services wtih regard to student needs, and attending commencement ceremonies.

This position is eligible for full benefits, participates in the Kansas Public Employee Retirement System (KPERS), and is subject to Kansas Continuing Contract Law.
