IT Level 2 Technical Support Engineer

Full-Time Positions (With Benefits)

This is a position with someone with a drive and passion for technology, security, and a wide range of responsibilities. The position is 30% desktop support, 30% systems administration, and 40% project installations. It is a team-based position where the successful candidate will be responsible for interacting with clients over the phone, on site, and online through remote support tools.

Duties include, but are not limited to, the following:
1.    Manage Windows Server, Active Directory services and troubleshooting Microsoft applications;
2.    Support Microsoft Exchange and Office 365 environment;
3.    Install and configure new Windows 10, 8, 7 & Mac laptop and desktops;
4.    Support virtualized networks such as VMware;
5.    Provide input and participate in strategic planning sessions;
6.    Provide end-user Desktop support via remote support tools;
7.    Stage network equipment for deployment;
8.    Serve as escalation point for any advanced issues and assist team members with resolving
        customer issues

Education and/or Experience

- Associates, technical school, or bachelor's degree

- Cloud based technology experience - Office 365, One Drive for business, Skype for Business
- 2 - 5 years of IT Infrastructure and maintenance support
- Previous Active Directory administration, DHCP, DNS
- Ability to troubleshoot LAN/WAN routing and connectivity issues
- General knowledge of routing, switching, and firewalls
- Basic Cisco (or other) network equipment knowledge
- Experience with various modern desktop and server operating system administration
- Experience and/or exposure to Windows Server 2008 R2, 2012 R2
- Understanding of Terminal server environments
- Ability to create and maintain Help Desk tickets to track issue resolution and billing
- An understanding of remote support tools via VPN, RDP or team viewer
- Microsoft Office experience

Experience with the following technologies is a plus:
- Configuring, implementing, troubleshooting and updating various backup disaster recovery tools
  such as Windows Backup, Shadow Protect, Datto and other technologies
- Firewall and VPN configuration, Meraki, Cisco, Sonicwall
- Cloud file solutions such as One Drive for business
- Android and iPhone/iPad
- Apple Mac

- Understanding of Next-gen Firewall's and VPN
- Experience with Virtual Machines (VMWare, Hyper-V)
