Nursing classroom and lab courses are held on the campus of the Highland Community College Technical Center in Atchison, Kansas. Nursing clinical courses are conducted at various healthcare settings throughout northeast Kansas. Specific Needs for upcoming semesters include:

Clinical adjunct faculty positions for PN Program: BSN required/MSN preferred

  • Foundations of Nursing Lab & Clinical, 8-hour day sifts on Thursdays and Fridays, September thru October
  • Maternal-Child Clinical, 6-hour days sifts in Skills/SIM Lab (Atchison)
  • Medical-Surgical Nursing Clinical & Simulation, 8-hour day shifts on Thursdays and Fridays, October thru December, February thru May

Clinical adjunct faculty positions for LPN-RN Completion Program: MSN Required

  • Advanced Medical-Surgical Nursing, Mondays and Tuesdays, 10-hour day shifts, February through March
  • Mental Health Nursing, 8-hour day shifts, Mondays and Tuesdays, April through May
  • Professional Practicum, 8-hour day shifts, Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday

CMA Update
Home Health Aide
Nutrition Assistant
Restorative Aide
Social Services Designee
Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
Emergency Medical Training/Technician (EMT; EMT-Basic)
First Responder
Emergency Medical Training/Technician - Bridge (EMT-Bridge)
Emergency Medical Training/Technician - Intermediate (EMT-I)
