HCC Music Performances
Motown Coming to Highland
The Highland Community College Vocal Music department will present its annual spring concert on Wednesday, March 30 at 7:30 PM. The concert will feature music from the Motown era performed by the HCC Chorus and Lads & Lassies. Admission is free.
The groups will perform a variety of music made famous by Motown artists from the 1960s and 1970s. HCC Chorus and Lads & Lassies are under the direction of Shayna Leahy.
Audiences of all ages will love the choral takes on these classic pop hits, including songs by such artists as Smokey Robinson, Aretha Franklin, Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons, the Temptations, and Kiki Dee. Great choreography will add to the toe-tapping experience of this concert.

HCC Music Presents Holiday Concert
The Highland Community College Vocal Music department will present a concert of holiday music on Thursday, December 8 and Saturday, December 10 at 7:30 pm on the Mary Helen Porter Stage in Culbertson Auditorium on the HCC campus. The concert will feature HCC Chorus and Lads & Lassies. Admission is free. Non-perishable food items will be collected on behalf of the local food bank.
The music that will be performed includes popular holiday pieces, winter songs, and Christmas carols. The vocal music ensembles are accompanied by Leota Elder.
Audiences will enjoy the energetic Skating with my Baby, as well as popular hits Sleigh Ride and Winter Wonderland. The concert will also feature the Christmas classic We Three Kings in an updated jazzy setting and a beautiful new work, Yes, Virginia. HCC Chorus and Lads & Lassies are under the direction of Shayna Leahy.
