Highland Women Continue Winning Ways

Highland led by as many as 14 in the first half and took a 35-28 lead into the halftime. "We really need to learn to have discipline, both offensively and defensively when we get a lead," said head coach BJ Smith.

The Scotties started off the second half with two 3 pointers by Carina Jackson (Sao Paulo, Brazil) and used a balanced attack to stretch the lead out to as much as 28 before settling for the final score of 72-49.

Janelle Sailing (Lathrop, MO) led the Scotties with 17, followed by Ryann Bowser (Holton) with 14, Jackson had13, and TaMiya Green (Lawrence) with 10.  "Road wins are never easy, but our room for improvement is exponential.  We just have to stay focused on what our goals are," said Smith.
