Spanish Language

Spanish Language (A.A.)

The Spanish Language program is designed to prepare an individual for the study of Spanish leading to a Bachelor of Arts degree. The completion of Spanish courses will provide you with the basic knowledge and skills of the language and culture of the Spanish speaking peoples. The knowledge will allow you to participate more effectively in our global society. One year of high school Spanish with a grade of B or better is equivalent to one semester of Spanish at HCC. Students should work closely with their advisor in order to include other courses, which are required by the college to which they plan to transfer. Education classes should be taken if the student plans to teach Spanish at the Elementary or Secondary education level.
