The HCC Holton Center is conveniently located right off HWY 75 on the south side of Holton, just 30 minutes north of Topeka. Students taking courses at the HCC Holton Center can complete their Associate degree in one newly renovated building that includes smart classrooms, a state of the art science lab, and a better learning environment. In addition to a full schedule of general education courses – including science lab courses – the Center offers interactive distance learning courses. Holton Center visitations are welcome. Enrollment is now open for Spring 2014 classes!
Enrollment for summer and fall terms will open in late March. Mark your calendars and plan on attending our Student Services Day on April 9, from 11:00am-6:30pm. We will have representatives from the financial aid, advising, and registrar’s office on hand to help you get enrolled and answer any questions you may have.”
Up to ten, $500 scholarships may be awarded each year to students attending the regional campus centers. Students must enroll in at least six credit hours at a Regional Center to qualify.
Regional Scholarship Eligibility
- Must be a Kansas resident
- Must have completed 12 hours of HCC coursework from a Regional Center with an overall GPA of 2.5.
- Must be degree seeking with Highland Community College.
- Scholarship is available for the fall and spring semesters only (not summer).
- Scholarships may not be used for HCC online or concurrent classes at a high school.
Students should print off the Teacher Recommendation Form and deliver to the teacher of their choosing that will serve as a reference. You should also provide them an envelope with your name printed on the front. Return the sealed recommendation envelope with the teacher’s signature across the back flap and include with your application.
Type your name at the top right hand corner of your page and the regional center which you attend. Provide questions and answers on the same page.
Answer the following 3 questions (EACH question should be answered with approximately 150 words).
1. Explain the importance of your major or area of interest in our society.
2. Discuss a special attribute or accomplishment that sets you apart.
3. State any personal or family circumstances affecting your need for this scholarship.
Your recommendation and application should be taken to your Regional Director by May 15th. Award recipients will be notified by June 15th.

It's that time of year again-- time to apply for financial aid for next year! All students must fill out the FAFSA to apply for financial Aid for the 2014-2015 school year. HCC has a priority date of April 1st for students applying for financial aid for the 2014-2015 school year. All aid documentation must be completed by July 1 to have available for use in the Fall 2014 semester. Contact the Financial Aid office with questions!

Our cancellation will be listed as "Highland Community College - Jackson County" when all classes are canceled, which identifies classes at Holton, Holton High School, and Hoyt. This posting will only occur when all classes in Jackson County are cancelled. Decisions for evening classes are typically not made until 4 pm.
