Nursing classroom and lab courses are held on the campus of the Highland Community College Technical Center in Atchison, Kansas. Nursing clinical courses are conducted at various healthcare settings throughout northeast Kansas.
Specific Needs for upcoming semesters include:
Mental Health Clinical Adjunct Instructor at Osawatomie State Hospital, Osawatomie, Kansas (8 days in Spring Semester, 2016)
Pediatrics/NICU Clinical Adjunct Instructor at Stormont-Vail Hospital, Topeka, Kansas (Mondays/Tuesdays June & July, 2016).
The HCC Associate Degree LPN to RN program hires adjunct faculty for the following:
- Advanced Nursing Skills - Skills Lab
- Advance Medical Surgical Nursing - Clinical
- Advanced Mental Health Nursing - Clinical
- Professional Nursing Practicum - Clinical
- High Risk Maternal-Child Nursing - Lecture / Clinical
Instructor Requirements: MSN (or actively enrolled in MSN degree program).
The HCC Practical Nursing program hires adjunct faculty for the following:
- Foundations of Nursing - Lab & Clinical
- Medical Surgical Nursing - Clinical
- Maternal Child Nursing - Lab & Clinical
- Clinical Simulations - Lab
- IV Therapy - Classroom / Online / Clinical
Instructor Requirements: BSN (or actively enrolled in BSN degree program).
The HCC Allied Health program hires adjunct faculty for the following:
Certified Nurse Aide (CNA)
Certified Medication Aide (CMA)
Home Health Aide
Social Services Designee
Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
Emergency Medical Training/Technician (EMT; EMT-Basic)
Emergency Medical Training/Technician - Bridge (EMT-Bridge)
Emergency Medical Training/Technician - Intermediate (EMT-I)
